Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about scholarship eligibility

What if my CGPA is slightly below 3.5? +

While the minimum requirement is 3.5 CGPA, we encourage students with a CGPA of 3.3 or above to still apply, especially if they demonstrate exceptional leadership, community service, or other outstanding achievements. Each application is reviewed holistically.

Can international students apply? +

Yes! Many of our scholarships are open to international students. You must be admitted to or enrolled in a GAAAA-accredited institution and meet all eligibility criteria, including English proficiency requirements.

How do I convert my GPA to the 4.0 scale? +

If your institution uses a different grading system, you can use standard conversion tables or contact your institution's registrar office for an official conversion. Common equivalents: 3.5/4.0 = 87.5/100 = First Class Honours = A-/B+ grade.

Can I apply for multiple scholarships? +

Yes, you can apply for multiple scholarships. However, you may only accept one full scholarship. If you receive multiple offers, you must choose one. Partial scholarships can sometimes be combined, subject to institution policies.

What happens if I don't maintain the required GPA? +

Most scholarships require recipients to maintain a minimum GPA (usually 3.0 or higher). If your GPA falls below the requirement, you may be placed on academic probation for one semester. Continued low performance may result in scholarship suspension or termination.

Are scholarships renewable each year? +

Most scholarships are renewable annually, provided you maintain satisfactory academic progress, meet GPA requirements, and comply with scholarship terms. Some scholarships require a brief renewal application or progress report each year.

Do I need to be enrolled full-time? +

Most scholarships require full-time enrollment (typically 12+ credit hours per semester for undergraduate, 9+ for graduate). However, some scholarships may accommodate part-time students under special circumstances. Check specific scholarship requirements.

When should I apply? +

Scholarship deadlines vary by institution and program. Generally, apply at least 4-6 months before your intended start date. Early applications are encouraged as some scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until funds are exhausted.
